The University of Iowa has more than 200 degree programs to choose from. From accounting to anthropology, you name it, they have you covered. On the home front, the Hawkeyes have recently played in Kinnick stadium in Iowa City. It’s also where you can find the Iowa State University Cyclones. Those who know their collegiate history will be familiar with the storied football program, which has won several games over the years. Currently, the Hawkeyes are ranked 10th in the Football Big Ten. With a plethora of academic and extracurricular options, Iowa is a cosmopolitan campus with a diverse student body.

In addition to the university, the state of Iowa has several smaller colleges and universities. This is a good time to be in town for the annual Iowa Fair and Festival, which attracts more than a million visitors each year. Another notable event is the Iowa State fair, which celebrates the university’s 150th anniversary. Located within the University of Iowa main campus, the fair offers a variety of entertainment options, including the annual Iowa State Rodeo, which draws crowds of over 250,000. There is even an annual polo match between the Iowa Cornhuskers and the Iowa Golden Orioles.

While you are there, check out the corn hole game made famous by Baggo. You’ll be glad you did. Besides the fact that it’s fun to watch, it’s also a great way to catch up with friends, family and fellow students.
