TRUE SHOWRUNNER II PVS CONSOLE

Using the PVS Console, you can see a list of devices connected to your system, check the version of vDisks and the server port. You can also send messages to devices and reboot connected devices. The PVS Console is also used to configure the boot strap file.

When a Target Device reaches a threshold of booting, the boot strap file is updated to tell the device to contact a specific server. If a server is offline, the device can boot from other servers in the list. The boot strap file is stored in the PVS database. PVS uses the database to obtain an IP address, and sends the file to the target device.

PVS has two types of caches, write cache and persistent cache. Each Target Device has a unique cache file. When a cache file is invalid, it must be manually deleted. Persisted cache files will not be deleted when the vDisk is changed to private image mode.
