Personal Life
Castle is an avid Catholic and longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church in San Diego. Additionally, he is an accomplished aviator having flown many classic planes such as the Tiger Moth. When not flying classic planes or learning how to read or fly aircraft himself – Castle likes reading or spending time with family and friends in his free time.
Castle showed an early interest in drawing, spending many hours sketching realistic representations of his immediate surroundings. Furthermore, his fascination with language and communication inspired countless works examining letters, signs, symbols, and their combinations to form uncanny and ever-evolving works of art.
He is survived by Dee, his wife of 63 years; five children: Thomas Castle (Misty), Laura Nichols (Jeff), Lisa Officer and Dave Officer from Springfield; Jennifer Dunn (Brent) from Nixa; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
