Jacko Law Group PC, a premier securities and corporate law firm based in San Diego, is pleased to welcome FINRA specialist David Sobel to their team. Sobel will work alongside Jacko’s attorneys on broker-dealer compliance matters as well as securities litigation cases.

At Chaffey College, Jacko led his Panthers team into the 2013 CCCAA Men’s Basketball State Championship semifinals but fell to Mt. San Antonio College.

Early Life and Education

Jacko has long been passionate about American symphonic music, leading both the Maryland Sinfonietta and University of Maryland Repertoire Orchestra under his baton. Additionally, he studied under renowned conductors Leonard Bernstein and James Macmillan.

Research indicates that birth to age 8 is a crucial period for learning and development, yet funding for early care and education varies considerably, leading to disparities in eligibility, workforce support, quality standards and quality implementation.

Families shoulder the financial strain of paying for unsubsidized programs and often can’t access high-quality services. More investment in early care and education (ECCE), managed under an integrated framework, would improve access and foster greater equity for children in our society. This literature review explores how ECCE serves as the cornerstone of healthy development as well as core capability attainment.

Professional Career

Jacko was an all-state basketball player at Chaffey Community College and led his team to back-to-back CCCAA Men’s Basketball state semifinals despite falling short each season; nonetheless, Jacko thoroughly enjoyed himself!

He coached a League of Legends team at USC that won multiple titles prior to COVID-19 spreading pandemic-wide. Through coaching and his research at Virginia Tech in communication studies, he noticed something lacking from gaming industry.

He utilized his expertise to found the Miami Lighthouse, a non-profit organization providing jobs and education to people with disabilities. Since Jacko has served as executive officer, enrollment at Lighthouse has skyrocketed from under 500 to over 25,000; additionally he initiated initiatives for low vision seniors as well as pre-kindergarten program for blind children.

Achievement and Honors

Jacko has deep ties to gaming that have inspired him to transform the industry. A communication studies graduate of Virginia Tech, he helped transform their League of Legends team into one of the top 0.1 percent worldwide players.

He currently leads the Esports program at Westridge School for Girls in Pasadena, California, coaching girls who had never before competed competitively – providing him with an entirely different coaching challenge than usual!

He applies some of the lessons from Tannen’s research to his coaching, reining in chatter that deviates from the game and creating a community in which everyone feels welcome – an approach which has proven very successful during his short stint leading the program.

Personal Life

Joseph and Julia (Kurutz) Jacko experienced one of their proudest years, full of hope for the future and great excitement over Robert Jacko’s birth in 1923. It marked an extraordinary year, not due to politics or economics but by Robert’s birth!

Jacko completed his Surface Warfare Officers School – Division Officers Course graduation by reporting to USS Seattle as deck department officer, participating in both Mediterranean and Persian Gulf deployments before going on to serve as combat information center and communication officer on USS Hewitt (DD 966) located out of San Diego.

In 2014, Jacko led his Chaffey College men’s basketball team to the California Community College Athletic Association state semifinals for men’s basketball. As a sophomore player at Chaffey, Jacko averaged 13.6 points and 229 rebounds, including 115 offensive boards during his sophomore campaign.
