The Stranger of Paradise Hat From GameStop

It is hard to say that the hat you get from your local game store is the most compelling pre-order incentive in the world. In fact, it is probably the least of the perks. And that’s before you even consider the digital bonus goodies.

There are three versions of the Final Fantasy Origin. First up is the Standard Digital, which includes a game and a few nifty extras. The standard edition is not available for PC and Xbox One, though.

The digital version of the game is not for the faint of heart. Among other things, it will include a 72-hour early access demo of the main game. Not only does it let you test out the main campaign, it also allows you to play through the Trials of the Dragon King, which is a fun but short-lived side quest. Of course, if you want to get to the action, you’ll have to complete the main game first.

Interestingly, the final version of the game has a few shortcomings. In addition to the technical issues mentioned above, the game is not as polished as one would expect. For instance, the hat you get from your local GameStop is not all that gaudy. The official website for the game does not mention whether the hat is available in your region, or if it is a local exclusive. As a result, it’s tough to recommend the title over its competitors.

Finally, the title is only available for PlayStation 4. But, it’s not difficult to find the game on the Epic Games Store, if you live in the U.S. Or to pre-order it on the Xbox One. After all, you can’t have a hat without a hat. Plus, you can also get the hat as a bonus when you buy the Standard or Digital editions.

Fortunately, this is a small price to pay for the hat you get.
