Stephen Mathias co-chairs Kochhar & Co’s Technology Law practice from its Bangalore office. He counsels clients on all aspects of contractual, regulatory and contentious issues.
He earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration at Millikin University in Decatur, IL before continuing his education at Saint Louis University to attain an MBA in finance and marketing.
Early Life and Education
Mathias hails from Canonsburg, Pennsylvania where he attended public schools before enrolling at Millikin University in Decatur Illinois to receive his bachelor of business administration. At that time he became a National Merit Finalist and college scholarship recipient.
Mathis first joined Tulsa progressive jazz band Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey in 1994 and co-led it until 2008. Since then he has performed with other notable groups such as Steve Kimock Band and Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart as well as drummer Bill Kreutzmann’s new project Billy & The Kids.
Mathis loves using Apple computers and mobile devices in his free time, as well as helping his wife build theatrical sets for Hamilton Southeastern High School students on weekends. Additionally, Mathis is a partner at BOWLES RICE McDAVID GRAFF & LOVE law firm where he specializes in commercial real estate law.

Steve Mathias is an attorney specializing in real estate and business transactions. His clients include developers, owners and financial institutions – with complex commercial real estate projects under his purview as well as business transactions matters handled efficiently by him.
Erich also offers extensive experience assisting homebuyers and sellers with residential loan closings as an agent of First American Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.

On top of his professional endeavors, he enjoys sports fanaticism and attending different musical performances; particularly jazz concerts and theater productions.
Steve Mathias dedicates much of his free time volunteering with Hamilton Southeastern High School’s theatrical sets program. Additionally, his hobbies include golf and traveling with family. Additionally, he has done charity work.

Steve Mathias is a husband and father to Angel and Ariel. With Allison as their partner in life and church volunteering as their passions. They love spending quality family time together as a family unit!
Steve Mathias enjoys reading and photography in his free time, along with Apple computers, mobile devices, and technology in general. On weekends he can often be found helping build theatrical sets at Hamilton Southeastern High School.
He has vast experience representing commercial developers, owners and financial institutions in real estate development and business transactions matters, including title insurance issues.
