Noah Townsend

Noah serves as Project Assistant for CNAS’s cross-program initiative on artificial intelligence safety and stability. In his role, he collaborates with four programs while supporting their communications and policy-related objectives.

Noah began showing signs of heart trouble in late February. His oxygen saturations began dropping rapidly and his skin took on an unusual bluish hue.

Early Life and Education

Noah Townsend is a dual sport athlete at Onondaga County Community College. He plays baseball as well as cross country running and track and field. Prior to this he previously participated at Ohlone Junior College under Coach Tom Kunis where he served as lead off hitter and number nine hitter on their baseball team.

Studies of the surface of the Moon using remotely sensed data collected during multiple lunar missions and Apollo astronaut samples provide him with insight into its evolution and impact cratering’s role in dispersing material across its surface.

David Kutzler is currently serving as project scientist on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission, currently orbiting the Moon. Additionally, he serves on LEAG’s executive committee and proposal review panels at NASA HQ as well as session organizing LPSC sessions and journal review panels such as JGR Planets, GRL Icarus and Nature Geoscience journals.

Professional Career

Noah Townsend is an astrophysicist and an Executive Committee Member for Lunar Exploration Analysis Group (LEAG). Additionally, he serves on multiple LPSC proposal review and session organization committees and has published many papers about lunar central peaks, polar regions and other structures on Earth’s lunar lithosphere.

Played 57 games behind the dish and started 56 of them… Slashed.268/.371/.404 with 12 doubles, five home runs and 32 RBIs in Pac-12 play… Stranded 21 out of 22 inherited runners.

Townsend set out with the intention of skiing every classic ski descent listed in The Fifty Classics book published in 2010. He embarked on this mission years before Cody Davenport made it an international phenomenon through his YouTube series Powderwhore.

Achievement and Honors

Noah Townsend has been an active contributor to several academic journals and conferences. He has published papers covering subjects as diverse as lunar crater composition, lunar dust and its effects on climate. Furthermore, he has written many book chapters as well as serving on editorial boards of several journals.

He is co-editor of Planetary Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry as well as serving on review committees for JGR-Planets, GRL, Icarus, Nature Geoscience and PSS journals. Additionally he co-lead scientist of Artemis mission.

Noah is married to Kristi and has two children – Mateya and Annalise. He currently resides in New Concord, Ohio where he belongs to the Democrat party as well as volunteering for several local organizations.

Personal Life

Noah’s family are deeply thankful that he has managed to come through such an ordeal so well, believing someone or several individuals were watching over him during surgery and his oxygen saturations after coming out were between 95-100%, which were much higher than ever seen before.

This collection consists of correspondence among Isaiah and John Townsend, their children Henry, Peter, Solomon, Samuel, William and Noah Townsend as well as their business associates and business partners. Documents in this correspondence include stock certificates, partnership agreements, contracts loan papers I.O.Us and petitions addressed directly to state legislature.

Noah Ascolillo is born to Cindy L. (Crogan) Ascolillo of Woburn, MA and Alan M. Martin and Kathy Martin of Hudson, NH and is their son. Noah is also the brother of Luke Martin and Jennifer Gorman and uncle to Brad Ascolillo from Woburn MA, Joshua Ascolillo from Peabody MA and Jared Yan from Lowell.
