Karanja Thomas is a Kenyan Actress and Brand Ambassador of Harpic Kenya

Karanja Thomas, 45 years old and from Hartford has been arrested in relation to a fatal hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 20 year old Trinity College student last year. Thomas has been charged with negligent homicide with vehicle and other offenses.

Three blends consisting of fossil diesel (D), karanja oil biodiesel, neat coconut and sunflower oils as well as alcohols like ethanol, iso-propanol and butanol were developed and evaluated for their physiochemical properties, performance and emission analysis in an IC engine.

She is a Kenyan actress known for appearing in television shows such as Mother In-Law and Sue Na Jonie as well as films such as Plan B and Disconnect. Originally attending Chogoria High School before transferring to Loreto Convent Msongari where she joined the drama club; and also becoming brand ambassadors for Harpic Kenya and Nice and Lovely Petroleum Jelly products. Unfortunately she was married to Phil Karanja for three years until they parted ways on 19 September 2023.

She is being held on $300,000 bond. Additionally, charges against co-defendants Whitney Betsey-Womack and Keith Lee remain outstanding; three armed men allegedly broke into her vehicle and stole $230 as well as jewelry and clothing before fleeing with the stolen money and property.
