Kaeden Thomas – A Vibrant and Fun-Loving Person
Kaeden Thomas was an energetic and fun-loving individual who brought joy to everyone around him. He enjoyed four-wheeling, dirt bikes and jet skiing at his family lake cabin as well as playing video games and screaming across rooms with his friends.
Virginia Tech is keenly interested in 2023 defensive tackle Kaden Beatty and will have an opportunity to evaluate him first-hand on Sunday when Virginia Tech hosts him for camp.
Early Life and Education
Kaeden Thomas was born March 11, 2006 in Auburn, Indiana to Stacey Henry and Wesley Thomas and died at Parkview Wabash Hospital on March 6, 2019 at 12 years old. He leaves behind his mother, sister, brother as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Kaeden earned three-year starting status at Lake Travis High School under Mike Rodgers, becoming district MVP and Austin area player of the year… In his free time he enjoys video gaming, listening to music and watching YouTube videos.

Professional Career
Kaeden earned district and Austin area MVP awards under coach Mike Rodgers on Lake Travis Baseball team during his senior year, under his captaincy under coach Mike Rodgers. As a Digital Storytelling and Spanish double major, he hopes to enter communications as a field. In his room are many black bear-themed items as well.
He competed in the third qualifying episode and had no issues on course; however, during Epic Air Surfer, his ride slipped off track, resulting in him finishing fourth place and eliminating any chance of making the finals.
Kaeden is an outstanding strong safety, boasting excellent coverage, pass rush and special teams skills. Additionally, he excels as a run defender who can take down opposing running backs with ease.
Personal Life
Kaeden was an engaging individual who could bring smiles to all around him. An avid hunter, fisherman and golfer, Kaeden also enjoyed four wheeling, dirt bikes and University of Oregon football – not forgetting playing Xbox with his friends by screaming from room to room on Xbox Live!
Kaeden was an avid baseball fan, attending spring training for both the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers and meeting his idol Buster Posey at one point. He was very close with his family and loved his beautiful yet ornery grandkids immensely. Kaeden attended Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church where he worked hard towards earning the deacon title; also leaving behind his mother, stepfather, six siblings and six others behind; his memorial will take place Tuesday March 12 from 5-8PM at Feller & Clark Funeral Home at 1860 Center Street Auburn, Auburn.

At Lake Travis High School, Thomas earned three varsity letters while being recognized as district MVP and Austin area player of the year as a senior. He also earned district MVP recognition.
Kaden finished second to Elijah Browning in Stage 1, only to lose out and end his season due to falling off of his board during Stage Two.
