Early Life and Education
During a child’s early years, they learn a lot about themselves and the world around them. Parents are their first teachers and have a huge impact on their development.
But children also need active stimulation and interaction with others for healthy development. In classrooms, teachers help children apply the lessons they have learned from their parents in a practical setting.
High-quality early childhood care and education is one of the most important investments a country can make as it promotes the health of children, families and communities. It is also a critical element in the success of a nation’s educational systems and provides the foundations for lifelong learning.
