Jimmy Choo And Ugg Collaboration

Jimmy Choo and Ugg Australia Team Up For a Five-Piece Limited Edition Collection

Jimmy Choo and Ugg Australia have come up with a fashion marriage of sorts. The two fabled footwear brands will debut a five-piece limited edition collection in October. The styles are based on the construction of Ugg’s signature sheepskin boots, and include Jimmy Choo’s take on the classic. This five-piece collaboration will be available at Jimmy Choo boutiques and Ugg Australia stores in the fall of 2012.

It’s no secret that Ugg and Jimmy Choo are a force to be reckoned with, especially in the sheepskin boot department. A year ago, the two brands teamed up for a $395 luxury rainboot. However, the aforementioned Jimmy Choo and Ugg collaboration will be a little less pricey, with prices starting from around PS495 (about $525). While the Jimmy Choo x Hunter collaboration was a smash hit, it won’t be re-released until next winter. That said, this limited edition collection is a good bet.

Like the Hunter x Jimmy Choo collaboration, the aforementioned five-piece Jimmy Choo and Ugg collaboration will only be sold online and in select Ugg Australia stores. Each style will feature the company’s signature design details, such as fringing, studs and a plethora of silver and gold omg-moments. Among the aforementioned, the Jimmy Choo x Ugg “fringed” starlet boot stands out, with a swath of gold studs on the upper and silver stars on the lambsuede.

There’s no doubt that the Ugg x Jimmy Choo collaboration is a big step up from the usual Uggs. Unlike the designer’s previous collection, the new styles will be constructed from soft, fuzzy sheepskin, making them extremely comfortable. But, it’s Jimmy Choo’s signature studding, hobo fringing and a few other surprises that make the boots truly stand out.

As with the other Jimmy Choo X Uggs, the brand’s aficionados have already made a beeline for the latest offering. Amber Valletta, who appears in the company’s newest advertising campaign, is sporting her own pair of Jimmy Choo boots, and the aforementioned starlet is just the tip of the iceberg. In the months to come, we’ll see more collaborations from the two marquee names.

Of course, the best part is that Ugg and Jimmy Choo have a whole lot more in store for fans. The two have collaborated on a handful of other shoe collections, including the aforementioned “fringed” starlet boot. They have also partnered with a few other notable names in the industry, such as H&M and Karl Lagerfeld. And while Ugg & Jimmy Choo is just the beginning, we’re sure the rest of their future collaborations will be as stylish as the ones they’ve already done.

Perhaps the most important thing to note about this collaboration is that both brands are big believers in the aforementioned’mirror-mimic’ technology. Both companies have been experimenting with this type of technology for some time now. Some of these experiments have yielded impressive results, as evidenced by the Jimmy Choo x Ugg ‘fringed’ starlet boots. Another interesting fact is that both companies have launched their own micro-franchises, which allow them to sell their boots and other goods in the UK and Australia.
