Jack Favilukis is an associate professor in the Finance Division at the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business. His research interests focus on incomplete markets, heterogeneity and inequality as well as labour market frictions and finance.

He’s an outstanding professor who truly cares about your education, always available outside of class to assist with anything you might need help with. While his pace might seem fast at times, he excels at explaining concepts with real world applications that resonate deeply – one of my favourite profs indeed – so much so that all these negative reviews about him baffle me.

Attractive class with ineffective teacher. Not an efficient way of learning about finance; 45 % of my grade comes from presentations graded using ComPair (the worst possible way to grade an assignment).
