Is Adam on Mom Really Paralyzed?
Do you want to know if Adam on Mom is really paralyzed? The answer may surprise you. This show has been a stalwart on the small screen for six years and will air its series finale on May 13.
In the episode ‘A Catheter and a Dipsy-Doodle’, Adam gets a text from Bonnie saying that Victor is stable and she is going out with his cousin, Yuri. He is reluctant to go but eventually agrees. It is a long trip, and he is not accustomed to the roads in Nevada.
On the other hand, Bonnie is more excited about the prospect of seeing Adam again. She is also worried about his safety. At first she assumes that the phone call was from someone else. However, she soon learns that it is Adam.
It was the first time Bonnie had seen Adam since he was injured during a skiing accident. He was using a wheelchair when he met Bonnie. Despite the handicap, Adam was able to make a new friend in the form of Bonnie. When they meet in person, the two become instant best friends.
While Adam is obviously paralyzed from the waist down, he does not take his wheelchair for granted. Although he uses a wheelchair to get around, he is a lot more active than he used to be. As a result, he enjoys the finer things in life. Including the occasional sex.
During Season Three, Adam and Bonnie meet in the real world. Initially, Adam was afraid to meet Bonnie because of his disability. After all, he was confined to a wheelchair and did not know what to expect. Eventually, he and Bonnie end up being best friends.
The best part about it is that Adam is not the only one in the wheelchair. His cousin Yuri (played by Tammy McCann) also uses a wheelchair on the show. Even the main character, Christy Plunkett (played by Anna Faris), was not immune to the effects of her disability.
The show’s official Twitter account posted a video before the season finale. The aforementioned “catheter and a dipsy-doodle” was not as impressive as the actual one. There was also a more sexy one, but that was not exactly as impressive.
However, the most important and most impressive thing that Adam has done in this episode is to finally tell Bonnie the secret. Though there is a little bit of back and forth, he finally does the right thing and lets her in on the secret.
As a bonus, they go on a road trip to Reno to pick up an antique jukebox for the bar. All in all, Adam and Bonnie have a lot of fun with their newfound companionship.
Overall, the show’s series finale was a mixed bag of emotions. There were several moments when Adam and Bonnie seemed to be the only ones in the room. However, they both ended up happy in the end. They were married twice.
