Early Life and Education
Henry Weissmann is a partner at Jenner & Block’s law firm and serves as co-chair of its investigations, compliance, and defense practice. During Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian interference in the 2016 US election, Weissmann played an integral part of Team Mueller in developing evidence against Paul Manafort – widely acknowledged for being a central component in building his case against Manafort.
Weissmann has represented clients charged with bribery, embezzlement, securities fraud, insider trading and conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. In the Enron case he successfully argued that auditing firm Arthur Andersen LLP could face prosecution for covering up its clients’ fraudulent activities.
