A Fatal Car Accident Closed I-85 in Gwinnett County Yesterday

Sunday evening saw a fatal car accident that shut down the northbound lanes I-85 in Gwinnett County. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a truck commercial and a car carrying a person. Authorities said the crash is under investigation. The crash scene was closed at 10:15 p.m. but traffic delays are expected to continue until further notice.

One person was killed in the accident, a male and a female. The driver of the Lexus, a 55-year-old Snellville woman, was also involved. She was treated at a local hospital. The Accident Investigation Unit at Gwinnett County Police Headquarters is investigating the accident.
