David Siles – Global Field CTO at Rubrik

An accomplished technical visionary, Siles has held other notable leadership roles such as Global Director of Sales Engineering for Veeam Software and former CTO for Kane County Illinois. Most notably though, his impressive career has always stayed true to his core values – always seeking ways to make a difference in people’s lives.
Achievement and Honors
David was an inquisitive lifelong learner, dedicated husband and father, member of the Rock Church, and proud alumni of the University of Chicago. He was well-known for his contributions to both the University and its students – particularly as an instructor and director for Eagle Media and Eagle Film.
Dave was an influential leader in the legal profession, serving on the board of the Endowment for Equal Justice (EEJ), now one of the nation’s largest endowments. Additionally, he served on the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates and served as its treasurer.

One of the most significant things in his life is his wife Belinda Giles. They met in 1992 and have been together ever since; she’s a clinical psychologist with a PhD from University of Surrey; they have one child together named Fred. Previously she had worked as both television producer and cookery writer. At present she’s dating Garda Damien O’Farrell; they have one son together born in 2007. Prior to this union Belinda had been married to Glen Mulcahy for 10 years but is now no longer together.

With 25+ years of leadership experience in IT industry with an emphasis on InfoSec and data governance, he is a globally renowned virtualization and data protection expert. Prior to joining Veeam Software as their Global Technical Operations Leader and Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations, David served Kane County, Illinois citizens as their Chief Technical Officer for five years prior to that as well as Hipskind TSG – an IT systems integrator – as well as being part of Veeam’s senior leadership team as Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations until joining them he joined them as Vice President – worldwide field operations at Veeam Software too!
Omar Pedro Siles Canda was born on November 15, 1992 in Bolivia and currently plays professional football for Royal Pari FC of the Bolivian Primera Division.
