David Lemkemeier has over two decades of experience advising clients on all aspects of commercial real estate. He works closely with local and national clients on complex projects involving acquisitions, dispositions, leasing agreements, financing solutions, project development initiatives, joint venture structuring arrangements, entitlement/incentive grants as well as indenture preparation.

Erich has extensive experience advising clients on infill real estate development projects, franchise system real estate issues and the creation of technology and innovation districts. Additionally, he possesses substantial skill in negotiating and drafting complex purchase and sale agreements, easements and licenses agreements, master development agreements, district declarations and indentures agreements as well as public-private partnership (P3) agreements as well as development incentives.

David Lemkemeier is an esteemed educational policy expert renowned for his contributions to education. His involvement includes research projects and organizations focused on improving school quality and teaching practices; developing Common Core State Standards that aim to prepare students for college and career readiness; founding Student Achievement Partners (SAP), a non-profit organization which works on implementing these standards in schools; co-writing English Language Arts and Mathematics standards with Sue Pimentel of SAP as co-writer.

At Lemkemeier & Spoehrer, they specialize in labor and employment law – his son John has called them experts in this area of practice. Additionally, Lemkemeier had an abiding love of music, acting and theatre that inspired many as board member/president/executive of St. Louis Symphony Orchestra as well as The Muny. Additionally he served two-term as Ladue City Councillor before passing away peacefully at home in Ladue City Council chambers.

He leaves behind his wife Sally Spoehrer Lemkemeier and sons John and David Lemkemeier as legacy.
