Daria Daniel

Daria is a Senior Policy Analyst for NACo and works on matters pertaining to community, economic and workforce development. Prior to joining NACo she worked at Craig Associates lobbying firm where she focused on education and food stamps policy.

Daniel is a celebrated modern artist in Ashfield and the other students admire his works despite their doubtful talents or arrogant behavior. Daniel’s most famed piece of artwork, known as Paper Plate Genocide, involves eight paper plates attached to spears forming an image.

Early Life and Education

Daria was born in Krakow, Poland to Ukrainian parents. She attended Saint Sofia Ukrainian Catholic Elementary School and Mississauga’s Casthra Park Secondary School before going on to study Visual Arts at the University of Toronto.

She currently works for NACo as the Associate Legislative Director in Policy and Workforce Development, lobbying on behalf of county governments on community, economic, and workforce development issues. Prior to that she served as senior policy analyst at Food Research and Action Center on issues concerning food stamps and welfare reform.

Character development is great, but I found Daria’s treatment of Jane in this episode hard to believe; she never would have shown such vindictive and spiteful behavior before!

Professional Career

Daria Daniel has spent much of her professional career working as both an artist and model. She has studied across different countries and institutions, with an ultimate goal to make drawing her full time job.

At 14, she began modeling with Elite Models in New York but found herself struggling to gain momentum from initial bookings.

She never gave up her dreams and persevered to reach where she is today despite all of this adversity, appearing on over 150 magazine covers and modeling for top fashion brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Prada, Jil Sander Alexander McQueen Nina Ricci. In addition, she worked with world renowned photographers Stephen Meisel Juergen Teller Ines Van Lamsweerde Helmut Newton.

Achievement and Honors

Daria was honored with the Eastman School of Music Alumni Achievement Award, which honors recent graduates whose career achievements have brought recognition both personally and to their university. She has also received six National Endowment for the Arts grants and two BMI awards as well as fellowships to Yaddo, MacDowell Colony Tanglewood and Chautauqua.

Daria was born to Ukrainian parents and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. She attended Saint Sofia Ukrainian Catholic Elementary School and Casthra Park Secondary School within the city limits. Encouraged by her father to pursue modeling professionally at age 14, Daria started working professionally by 14 years of age and won various accolades such as Canada’s Walk of Fame Award 2008. Additionally she is part of Live Healthy U.S Counties discount program membership.

Personal Life

Daria always knew she was different; not just due to her clothing choices; and had the distinct impression that she didn’t belong in her school, family, or society as a whole.

This episode takes place during Daria’s senior year, though she acts as though it has occurred much sooner. For instance, she mentions being rejected from colleges while most people apply much earlier on in their college applications process.

This episode follows Daria as she attempts to flirt with Trent Lane, showing how their views of life and sense of humor overlapped nicely. Additionally, Aunt Amy became increasingly important to Daria over time – making this episode an excellent introduction to an often underestimated character.

She currently models with IMG models and Elite Model Management, appearing in editorials for brands like Balenciaga, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Roberto Cavalli as well as serving as an official spokesperson for Lancome beauty products.
