Juliana Koranteng was 64 when she died on February 6th 2022 and founder of JayKay Media Consultancy and several publications in the U.K.

Their first child, Kwaku Asiedu-Koranteng was born with brain damage. However, this experience taught them compassion for those in need and they encourage their children to strive hard in achieving academic and professional excellence so they may contribute back to society.

A passionate supporter of both Hearts of Oak and Manchester United, as well as avid tennis fan with particular preferences for Cristiano Ronaldo and Novak Djokovic; Daniel has even developed his own signature alter ego known as ‘The Oracle’ which he uses when offering up sports predictions.

As a member of the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative Board, she traveled worldwide meeting world leaders such as Her Excellency Mary Robinson and His Excellency Ingvar Carlsson. Additionally, she serves on Africa Union Informal Sector Taskforce representing Civil Society Organizations.
She has become an enthusiastic participant at BPG lunches and breakfast meetings, brightening each occasion with her presence and insightful questions. Additionally, she has written articles for media publications on various subjects pertaining to mining advocacy; in collaboration with NGO’s and communities.

As a journalist and broadcaster, Koranteng has worked on multiple media platforms. She has contributed her writing to publications like Variety as well as co-founding JayKay Media Consultancy as editor-in-chief for Midem, MipTV, and Mipcom events.
Koranteng is an avid football and tennis fan. Her favorite athletes include Cristiano Ronaldo and Novak Djokovic from soccer and tennis respectively; in addition, she proudly supports Hearts of Oak and Manchester United teams.
Koranteng would attend Variety’s BPG meetings regularly and brought her sparkling personality and smart questions that kept the conversations moving on global music and media trends – especially as an advocate for vulnerable communities’ rights. Her death will leave a large void in Ghana’s media scene.
