Daniel is an award-winning teacher, director, actor, dancer and DJ. He taught Modern European Theatre and Global Theatres at Lewis-Clark State College to great acclaim; now at John Cabot University Rome as an adjunct faculty.
Dan has extensive experience advising local governments in debt financing transactions for local governments, including refunding analysis, credit enhancement strategy and bond proceed/escrow investment transactions. In addition, he assists them in their financial recovery efforts.
Early Life and Education
Daniel Roy Connelly is a former British diplomat who served in Italy, India, Bangladesh and Scotland. Now teaching at John Cabot University where he specializes in Shakespeare on Film, Creative Writing, Modern European Theatres and Global Theatres as well as writing his memoir Extravagant Stranger.
At Air Force Squadron Officer College, he sits on the Faculty Development Committee and as adjunct professor within its Department of International Security. Additionally, he has taught at both Air Command and Staff Colleges.
At the local government level, he has extensive experience providing financial consulting. This experience includes five-year financial planning and budgeting as well as financial feasibility analyses. Furthermore, he is registered with both the Securities and Exchange Commission as well as Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board as a municipal advisor.

Daniel Connelly possesses extensive experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, private equity investments, joint ventures and complex litigation matters.
He maintains a broad practice, representing companies and individuals before federal and New York state courts and agencies for white collar defense and regulatory compliance investigations. Additionally, he has handled bankruptcy, class action litigation and complex commercial litigation cases.
Daniel serves on the Financial Recovery Coordinator teams of both Chester and Colwyn Boroughs, where his primary responsibility is developing, monitoring, and implementing multi-year financial plans designed to eliminate projected budget deficits and move municipalities towards structural budgetary balance. Daniel also enjoys teaching dance lessons as well as performing as an actor. In his free time he hosts monthly swing dance event “Daniel and His Gang”. Daniel graduated Lewis-Clark State College with honors with a BA in Communication degree.

Daniel Connelly has published more than 50 books, such as his best-selling title The Book of Isaias. His work has garnered numerous awards and grants; he founded Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre as well as performing in numerous local productions; additionally, Daniel also hosts an ongoing monthly swing dance party known as “Daniel and the Gang.”
At Suffolk County District Attorney, he was responsible for overseeing a $20 million budget and supervising 275 staff members from various backgrounds. His record included initiating groundbreaking initiatives designed to identify, correct and prevent wrongful convictions.
