Early Life and Education
Carnahan graduated with a degree in theatre and film from Solano Community College and worked as a furniture mover for eight years, also writing and directing rap music videos professionally for hire and acting in several action thriller films like Narc and Smokin’ Aces as director.
Cherie Silas testified during Pamela’s trial about her initial investigation of her disappearance, alongside Karen Frazier (Pamela’s sister-in-law) and Winston Carnahan (her husband).
Woods Aitken represents Carnahan in real estate and business matters. Since 2011, he has been part of their transactional group as a partner. Additionally, Carnahan belongs to both the American Bar Association and Louisiana State Bar Association as a member.

He holds Florida Certified Public Accountant credentials and belongs to both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and its Valuation Services section as well as National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts as certified members.
At New Iberia School District since 1997 as a student worker, he has performed support roles in Textbook Services, Purchasing Department and now Technology Services. Furthermore, he is active within his community serving on Together Baton Rouge Advisory Board and volunteering extensively within classrooms.
He is a lifelong learner, eager to share his passion of climbing with others. Additionally, he is devoted to his family, an advocate for racial and social equality, and four-term president of East Baton Rouge Parish Library Board of Control.

Dan Carnahan has earned numerous accolades throughout his career. Nominated by classmates at his alma mater for elevating class reunion efforts while making an impactful contribution in both community and profession, he received the Young Alumni Award.
As part of his success with Dreamgirls on Broadway and film adaptation with Mike Nichols, he received two Artios Awards from the Casting Society of America – one for his Broadway performance and another as part of their respective teams.
Dickinson Law honored Carnahan with the Lee Popp award in 2023, presented to students who demonstrate outstanding service and extracurricular participation during their third-year classes. This accolade recognized excellence in service delivery as well as extracurricular participation.

Daniel Carnahan was a man devoted to attaining success at all costs; and was also deeply dedicated to his family, placing them above everything else in life.
