Camille Grammer and Dimitri Charalambopoulos File New Defamation Suit
During the last couple of years, we have seen Camille Grammer and Dimitri have numerous legal issues. These include a restraining order, a defamation suit and a lawsuit against Mauricio Umansky. These stories have caused a lot of controversy.
Restraining order
During the time she was in Houston for a hysterectomy, Camille Grammer was attacked by her boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos. She filed a formal complaint against him in the Houston Police Department’s Family Violence unit. She included photographs of bruises, scratches, and a concussion on the side of her head.
Dimitri Charalambopoulos was accused of grabbing Camille’s hair, pulling out clumps of hair, slamming her head into the headboard, and threatening to knock her out. According to the statement, Camille was afraid for her life during the attack.
According to the restraining order, Charalambopoulos can’t contact Camille, or visit her, or come within a 100-yard radius of her home, children, or business. He also cannot send any text messages to Camille or her kids.
According to TMZ, a judge granted Camille a temporary restraining order against her boyfriend on Tuesday. The judge ruled that Charalambopoulos can’t come within 100 yards of Grammer, and must keep his hands away from her children.
Defamation suit
Defamation suit against Camille Grammer and Dimitri Charalambopoulos is a new lawsuit filed by the former boyfriend of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. In the lawsuit, Charalambopoulos alleges that Grammer made defamatory statements to the press pertaining to a request for a restraining order.
Grammer countersued Charalambopoulos for assault and defamation. In January, she won a three-year restraining order against Charalambopoulos. She was awarded damages of $36,000 for the assault and $25 for defamation.
The lawsuit focuses on an incident that took place in a Houston hotel in 2013. Charalambopoulos claims that Camille fabricated an assault. Charalambopoulos alleges a series of tweets and statements by Grammer that were defamatory. Grammer claims that the tweets and statements were made without malice.
Charalambopoulos’ defamation claims are based on quoted statements and tweets that Grammer made to the media, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Thea Johnston. Grammer contends that she is entitled to summary judgment on the defamation claims.
Mauricio Umansky
Mauricio Umansky and Camille Grammer are among the many stars of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Their new Netflix show, House of Umansky, is slated to hit our television screens next month, and they’re already making headlines for their latest outing. The duo reportedly have a combined net worth of $100 million.
In addition to being a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Mauricio is also a successful real estate agent. The duo have a combined three children. It’s not all glitz and glamour, however. They’re also known for their high-stakes real estate business. In fact, Mauricio sold an expensive property to a celebrity. The house was listed for almost $70 million, and was subsequently flipped for a hefty profit.
The show has had some high-profile cast members over the years, including Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif. However, the last original cast member is Tamra Richards. A philanthropist by heart, she’s also an actress, fashion designer, and clothing line owner.
Kyle Richards
Despite their differences, Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer have a love-hate relationship. Camille is still entangled in a legal battle with her ex-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos.
Last year, Charalambopoulos filed a defamation lawsuit against Camille, claiming that she had fabricated the story of an alleged assault. Although the judge tossed most of Dimitri’s claims against Camille, he did allow some of them to go forward.
Camille’s lawsuit was settled on April 24. She won a $36,000 award for damages. Grammer also won a separate legal case for her ex-husband’s retirement fund.
In the past, Camille has been quiet about her alleged assault by Dimitri, and she hasn’t even talked about it lately. However, she is now dating a dashing bankruptcy lawyer from Dallas. It’s possible that she’s softening the blow of her potential reunion with “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars.
