With several top-5 finishes in competition against some of the best shooters worldwide, and having twice won North Carolina Sporting Clays state championships as a result. Additionally, Braxton runs Hunters Pointe and Rose Hill Shooting Ranges in Statesboro, North Carolina.

Braxton Oliver is a professional sports shooter who has competed in some of the country’s largest tournaments. Personal Life

Braxton Oliver was born in Statesboro to Jeremy Jackson Oliver and Angel Johnson Oliver and quickly proved himself as a natural athlete from rec ball to varsity football. Nicknamed “Boulder” or “Cheryl” by teammates, Braxton enjoyed spending time with his parents, brother, sister and family.

He continued his explorations through quartets and ensembles, recording two albums featuring quartets: Quartet (november 1995) and EnsembleTentet (june 1996) which feature his Comp 188 composition. In addition, he explored graphic notations as well as new ways of scoring his music including creating a system to record interaction among musicians playing different instruments; these ideas could then be revisited on Creative Orchestra (may 1978) which featured one-hour versions of Composition 82 with four orchestras under his guidance as conductor.
