Best Damn Pork Chops
The Best Damn Pork Chops
The right combination of fat-rich short rib and fat-rich chuck makes the best pork chops. The 75/25% meat-to-fat ratio means that these chops are incredibly juicy and flavorful. They’re also made with Midwestern-raised pork, making them the ultimate pork treat.
To make the best damn pork chops, start by preheating your air fryer for at least 5 minutes. Once the air fryer is preheated, add the pork chops to the pan and cook for 10-13 minutes, flipping halfway through. Once cooked, use a digital thermometer to check the internal temperature. Let them cool for five minutes after they reach 143°F before you cut them. Carryover cooking will finish the cooking process if the pork chops are still pink after being cut.
Season the chops liberally with salt and Cajun spices before cooking. After seasoning the chops, heat vegetable oil in a skillet and cook them. Some recipes suggest sear the chops on the first side only, while others suggest doing it last. When the chops reach 140 degrees F, flip them and cook the other side.
