Early Life and Education

Ben was born in Beaune to parents who ran a flower shop. While most wine jobs at that time were passed down from family to family, he decided against accepting such expectations by enrolling in trade school instead.

As part of his studies, he held internships at Cos d’Estournel in Bordeaux, Domaine Drouhin in Oregon and Louis Jadot in Beaune before accepting a job offer at Comte Armand Pommard where he gained insight into Burgundy wines.
