Ben assists clients with all manner of business matters, from formation and formation transactions through loan transactions (secured and unsecured), development planning and capital markets investing to early stage fundraising efforts, partnership disputes resolution and more.

Ben has experience helping lenders, borrowers, and all parties involved with financing projects work efficiently to resolve issues and meet goals as quickly as possible.

Early Life and Education

Ben Beasley is an experienced business lawyer, specializing in complex matters pertaining to commercial litigation, real estate transactions, banking, finance, technology and international law. He has an impressive track record representing private businesses to large multinational corporations such as banks, developers, landowners and sovereign nations.

As a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he served as both co-captain of both National Trial Competition Team and Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Teams. Additionally, he joined Maryland Bar Association.

Beasley helped lead McNeese’s defense to three consecutive Southland Conference championship appearances and finished among the top two in both passing defense and total defense both years.

Professional Career

Ben’s business practice encompasses an array of matters, including the formation of LLCs and corporations; providing advice in all aspects of operations from early-stage fundraising to capital markets; business growth issues; partnerships; disputes; asset structuring; as well as asset structuring. Ben brings his signature brand of pragmatic problem-solving to help his clients navigate legal hurdles to realize their dreams and reach their goals.

Ben earned his Juris Doctorate from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law and participated in its National Trial Competition Team and Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Team during law school.

He enjoys golf, college football, live music concerts and reading as his hobbies. Additionally, he is proud to call himself both spouse and father to military members as well as volunteer for military community causes.

Achievement and Honors

As an attorney, he has assisted both small businesses and individuals with their legal needs. With an affinity for law, he enjoys teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law. Outside of legal matters, his hobbies include exploring nature, listening to live music performances, and watching college football games.

Beasley joined LU’s coaching staff in February 2014 as secondary coach. An experienced veteran coach from within the Southland Conference, Beasley brings invaluable expertise to LU.

Coach C is an exceptionally devoted and supportive individual who always seems to have a smile on his face. He’s beloved around campus, often found cheering his athletes at home games – an asset to our program I can only look forward to watching as he progresses his career further.

Personal Life

Ben Locklar is happily married to Lisa Matthews Locklar and they share three children; Katie, Sarah Beth and Greyson. His family attends Centerpoint Fellowship Church as well as spending time at Lake Martin where they love boating and fishing.

Ben began his career at Beasley Allen in 2005 as “of Counsel” in their mass tort section, working primarily on Vioxx cases. Since then, Ben has taken on mesothelioma and nursing home cases which have yielded significant verdicts and settlements; earning him Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent Rating.

He has extensive experience in chemistry and was seconded to the patent department of an innovative company with cutting-edge technologies. His research was published in leading chemistry journals. Furthermore, he is a member of the American Chemical Society and presented at legal seminars.

His net worth has enabled him to make many investments in real estates and stocks; as well as purchase several cars for himself and his family. Furthermore, it has enabled him to amass an ample sum in his bank accounts.

Current Practice | Complex Litigation & Advisory Matters Robert has extensive experience in antitrust trial litigation and patent FRAND licensing disputes relating to standard technologies like cell phones (3G, 4G/LTE/5G), video coding systems, and WiFi networks.
