Amber Johns is a lawyer who specializes in international business strategy and compliance. She has extensive experience in developing international operation strategies and compliance programs for multinational companies, particularly between the United States, Europe, and Africa.

During her early life, Amber Johns was very involved in her family. She was a part of the Prince Edward County civil rights movement as well.
She was also a student leader at Moton High School. She led her classmates in a strike and eventually helped them win their case.
As a result, Moton High School became the first public high school in Prince Edward County to desegregate.
As a mother of three athletes, Johns has a passion for soccer and has volunteered for Capital Region Miracle League, which serves disabled athletes, since 2013. She and her husband are dedicated to helping young athletes find their identity and purpose in Jesus through sports.

Amber is a lawyer by trade, specializing in corporate and international law. She handles a wide variety of complex matters for her clients ranging from business formation and mergers & acquisitions to employment, real estate and intellectual property.
She is also a certified information privacy professional in the United States and Europe. She has a knack for bringing people together and has led the charge for her firm in driving privacy and data protection transformation initiatives across the organization. She leads the data privacy and cybersecurity practice at Bond and is the Deputy Chair of the firm’s Technology and Media group. Her list of credentials include being named in the Daily Record’s annual roundup of Maryland’s top women, for her professional achievements and community service.

Amber Johnston leads the People and Culture committee at her firm, and she is passionate about promoting gender and racial equity in the field of architecture. Outside the firm, she is a board member of the Neighborhood Design Center and the Baltimore Tree Trust.
Her community involvement and engagement efforts have resulted in numerous planning and design awards, including the Greater Baltimore Committee Mayors Business Recognition Award and American Planning Association National Capital Area Chapter’s Award for Outstanding Regional or Comprehensive Plan.
