A Photograph of an Abandoned Chuck E Cheese Animatronic Goes Viral Online

An image of an abandoned Chuck E. Cheese animatronic went viral online. Reddit user June 2020 shared the image. The person who had purchased the animatronic then restored it on Instagram. Freaky Attractions also used the photo in a fictional video that told the story of a couple who discover an animatronic abandoned in the desert. The video has been viewed nearly four hundred thousand times.

Jared Sanchez, a roboroloquist, found the animatronic in an abandoned Chuck E. Cheese near Birmingham. He managed to restore some of the animatronics, including one that impersonated Michael Jackson. Other abandoned animatronics were simply trashed when the stores closed, but Sanchez found them three decades later.
